About The Ziehm Academy

In 2007 Ziehm Imaging in partnership with other foundation supporters launched the Orthopedic Research Foundation of the Carolinas. Supported by the Steadman Hawkins Orthopedic group, one of the most respected Orthopedics groups in the country. Steadman Hawkins Orthopedic is internationally known for their aggressive research and development in Orthopedics.

The Ziehm Academy concept is to provide the highest level of training to the customers and internal personnel. With the rapid advancement of technology in mobile c-arms, the Ziehm Academy fills the gap often left between the training and the technology. The Ziehm Academy in partnership with the Steadman Hawkins Orthopedic group research ways to utilize the technology of mobile c-arm in today’s surgeries. Improving the surgeries not only gives feedback for development of the c-arm, but also improves the outcome for our patients.

In November 2007 The Ziehm Academy launched the mobile learning lab to bring the ideas and developments to the medical community.

To date the Ziehm Academy has presented over twelve courses and mobile learning labs, with over six hundred attendees

In the fall of 2008 Ziehm Academy will be participating in several radiology conferences. RADSYM – “The premier Radiology seminar in the southeast”, sponsored by Keesler Air Force base. The event will be held October 17th and 18th in St. Louis, MS. In addition we are participating in RADFEST sponsored by the Kaiser Permanente Hospital Systems on November 8th in Portland, OR.
